SpaceCakes is designed as a networking platform for ESA BIC UK start-up companies and the wider space community to come together with organisations from different sectors to share ideas and receive updates over coffee & cake.

The theme for November’s SpaceCakes “When things don’t go to plan: knowing when and how to pivot.”

Research from EPFL suggests that 73% of start-ups must pivot to another market over time as their initial target markets were not as fertile as they initially thought. But how can you tell when you need to abandon “plan A” and consider a pivot? And what can you do to maximise the chances of success?

Join us to hear first-hand from ESA BIC UK alumni, deep-tech start-up founders and ESA BIC’s advisors about how they have worked through major pivots and their top lessons from these experiences.
