WORLD ENTREPRENEURS DAY – MEET AMIN

WORLD ENTREPRENEURS DAY – MEET AMIN

To celebrate World Entrepreneurs Day, we caught up with our incubatees and asked them to share their top tip for aspiring entrepreneurs as well as finding out a little more about their experience so far!

Meet Amin from Lúnasa Space

Lúnasa envisions accelerating the world’s transition to affordable, sustainable, and reliable in-space economy. To enable that vision, they are developing a constellation of reusable and automated miniature orbital maintenance stations for the satellite industry, capable of offering quick and affordable in orbit maintenance services.

Here’s what Amin had to say …

  1. What inspired you to develop your business model/idea?

I am a space engineer and passionate about creating sustainable space solutions. During my engineering time, I realised the pain of the satellite operators when their satellites were failing earlier than expected, and there were no offerings to fix the problem. That forced me to develop a solution for servicing satellites in space.

2. What attracted you to ESA BIC UK?

ESA BIC UK is a highly graded space-tech incubator in the UK and Europe. Over time, I witnessed how startups benefited from the programme, accessing facilities, resources, and funding. That motivated me to incubate Lúnasa into the programme.

3. What would you say are the qualities of a good entrepreneur?

Dedication, consistency, and vision. These are the recipe for a good entrepreneur to push the boundaries and be successful.

4. What would be your ‘top tip’ for aspiring entrepreneurs?

Don’t fear failing. Nothing big ever happens without taking risks. Take your chances.
